Fulton Diagnostics is a private psychological assessment practice focused on diagnostic clarity and functional insight. Through comprehensive, evidence-based evaluation, we identify the underlying patterns behind cognitive, emotional, academic, and behavioral challenges so every client leaves with clear answers, actionable recommendations, and a structured roadmap forward.
We serve children, adolescents, and adults across three primary groups:
• Families seeking answers about learning, attention, or developmental concerns
• Adults pursuing a structured understanding of their cognitive, emotional, and behavioral patterns.
• High-functioning students and professionals seeking performance optimization and cognitive understanding
Common referral questions include ADHD, autism, learning differences, executive functioning challenges, and twice-exceptional profiles.
Fulton Diagnostics is a testing-only practice. This specialization allows us to focus entirely on assessment depth, diagnostic precision, and meaningful recommendations.
Evaluations are guided by an integrated functional framework examining cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and environmental factors together rather than in isolation. Instead of simply assigning a diagnosis, we help clients understand how their mind works in real-world contexts.
Fulton Diagnostics is based in Central California, about three hours north of Los Angeles and three hours south of the Bay Area. Many clients travel specifically for a comprehensive evaluation experience that prioritizes depth, accuracy, and individualized care.
Detailed directions, parking information, and travel tips are provided after booking.
Morning appointments are structured to allow most clients to complete testing and return home the same day.
For those traveling longer distances, we can provide recommendations for nearby accommodations, dining, and quiet waiting environments for accompanying family members.
Our process is designed to be organized, efficient, and clinically focused from arrival through feedback.
Yes. All records, assessment data, and communications are stored in secure HIPAA-compliant systems. Results are shared only with you unless written authorization is provided.
Our services are organized into specialized evaluation pathways so clients can choose the depth and focus that best matches their goals:
• Compass — Comprehensive diagnostic evaluation
• Focus — ADHD and executive functioning assessment
• Prism — Autism spectrum evaluation
• Pathway — Learning and academic evaluation
• Neuro — Neuropsychological screening
• Clarity — Twice-exceptional (2e) profile
• Ascend — Gifted and high-ability evaluation
• Thrive — Executive performance optimization
We also offer exploratory assessments for vocational direction, personal growth, and cognitive self-understanding.
Direct testing time varies by evaluation type but commonly ranges from several hours to multiple sessions to ensure a thorough understanding of cognitive, emotional, and functional patterns.
Certain components such as interviews and rating scales can be completed virtually. Standardized testing is conducted in person to preserve standardization and diagnostic accuracy.
Government-issued ID

Every evaluation follows our Five-Phase Assessment Model:
Clinical Intake — history, concerns, and goals
Testing Sessions — standardized assessment administration
Scoring & Analysis — integration into a cohesive profile
Written Report — detailed professional documentation
Feedback Session — collaborative review and next-step planning
Each report provides:
• Diagnostic impressions when applicable
• Test results with interpretive explanation
• A functional profile explaining how your mind works in real life
• Actionable recommendations for school, work, or personal growth
Following testing, your evaluator completes scoring, data integration, and diagnostic formulation.
Once the written report is finalized, you will be contacted to schedule a formal feedback session. During this meeting, we review findings in depth and translate results into clear, actionable recommendations tailored to your goals.
The report includes documentation and structured recommendations that clients may use to pursue treatment, skill development, environmental adjustments, or academic/workplace accommodations independently.
Yes. Reports are commonly used to support school accommodations, workplace adjustments, disability documentation, and treatment planning.
Sometimes evaluations clarify complexity rather than produce a single diagnosis. In those cases, we provide guidance on monitoring, next steps, and potential follow-up evaluation.
Results remain clinically meaningful for years, though updates may be recommended during major life transitions or academic changes.
Investment varies by evaluation type, complexity, and testing hours. Each package includes intake, testing, scoring, interpretation, written report, and feedback.
Assessment requires specialized training and many hours of work beyond testing, including scoring, diagnostic integration, and individualized report writing designed to guide real-world decisions.
Fulton Diagnostics operates as a private pay practice to allow for longer testing time, individualized batteries, and detailed reporting. Many clients pursue out-of-network reimbursement using a superbill, which we provide.
Yes. Payments can be divided across milestones such as intake, testing, and report delivery. Many clients choose this option.
Reports are typically delivered within 2–3 weeks after the final testing session. Reports are released once the evaluation balance is completed.
We’ll do our best to accommodate you. Late arrivals may shorten testing time or require additional time or even an additional testing session to maintain validity.
Because evaluation appointments reserve extended testing time, we ask for at least 48 hours’ notice:
• If cancelling more than 48 hours prior to appointment, you may reschedule without penalty
• If cancelling less than 48 hours prior to appointment, or you are a no-show, your deposit may be forfeited
Results remain confidential and are released to third parties only with a signed Release of Information.
Yes. We accept referrals from physicians, therapists, schools, attorneys, and other professionals and coordinate consent, records collection, and communication with the client once the referral is received and verified.
Breaks are built into sessions, and pacing is adjusted to support comfort and accuracy.
Feedback sessions are collaborative. We review findings together, address questions, and clarify interpretation so you fully understand your evaluation.
A clear diagnosis is not always the most accurate outcome. When presentations are complex or evolving, the evaluation focuses on identifying patterns, strengths, and areas of need to inform practical next steps.
Psychological assessment and evaluation is meant to increase understanding, not limit identity. Many clients find that clarity reduces uncertainty and expands options for support and growth.
